Function: Voucher Card that allows customers to bring a friend for free
Uses: Promotional vouchers.
Theme: No theme
Client requirements: The client requested some vouchers that their customers could grab on the go from the studio encouraging them to bring a friend along to promote the Studio to a wider audience.
Medium: Mixed media painting
My approach to this project was to make it light and fun, using a play on words that happened to be a miscommunication of language. The Studios signage was literally translated to “outer space” in Arabic instead of the equivalent for space, or place. And so I decided to lean into that and use that as the visual imagery of the card.
Each card was handmade, hand painted and handwritten to emphasize the customized experiences that were offered by the studio, each unique and catered to the individual. It was also important that they were small enough to fit in a pocket or wallet
The paper was recycled paper that I made out of scraps of paper from old receipts, packaging, notebooks and so on. I had so much fun making the paper from scratch.
