TST commission me to create an artwork that was going to be used as an events poster to announce their story night event via Instagram. The topic for this story night was adoption.

All I knew about adoption in Oman was that it was frowned upon and almost impossible to achieve.
Being able to hear stories from adoptees and adopted children through the cultural lens in Oman was so incredibly eye opening, heartwarming and inspiring.

I wanted the poster to show the vulnerability of life and the responsibility and love of looking after that life, in a simple yet expressive way. To visually represent "I trust you" and "I've got you" in one image. The visual of an adult and child reaching out to each other and the tenderness of their touch felt right. The transparency of the hands was a reference to the openness that we wanted to invite at the event.
